Scout campScout camps are where CAMPPS started.
The troop registers. The Scout’s family pays. By Saturday, the troop’s records are ready.
Troops and unit leaders, merit-badge class blocks, the Scouting America Annual Health and Medical Record (AHMR), campsite deposits, provisional Scouts and partial-week adults. Below, Troop 12 gets ready for Session 6 at Heron Lake, the example scout camp.

The troop is the customer.
The unit leader registers the troop and adjusts the headcount until the deadline. Families pay their own share and complete their own child’s forms, and the unit leader sends payment links to the families who still owe.
Counselors sign off requirements during the week, so by Saturday the troop’s record is ready. CAMPPS does not connect to Scoutbook.

CAMPPS collects the AHMR for scout camps, in every plan, and catches the known mistakes while the parent fills it in. Forms lock at check-in. Scouting America has not approved or endorsed CAMPPS.

Campsite deposits that move with the troop
$40.00 per Scout holds the campsite. It is not refunded, but it can move to another Scout in the troop: at Heron Lake, Xavier Turner’s moved to Emmett Richardson-Byrd, Troop 315, on 1 June.
Camperships
When an award is on its way, the office moves that family’s due date to match and notes why. Reminders follow the new date.
For the council: one account, more than one camp.
The director of camping sees every camp from one account; each camp’s office sees its own. Payouts go to the bank account the council verifies.
Moving off Tentaroo before it closes in October?
Tentaroo is shutting down in October 2026. Set your camp up yourself in November, from your fee table, sessions and class schedule, and registration can open in January.
